Who's it for?

The Effective Coaching Skills course is ideal for anyone interested in coaching and/or qualifying as a coach. It's popular with those who support others, for example professionally in a managerial role. Social workers, teachers, support staff, managers, healthcare staff, and in fact anyone who has an interest in supporting others in achieving their goals and potential have all found that they learn useful skills for their careers, and more often than not, decide they'd like to train further. We also have a good number of people generally interested in personal development, their own and that of others.

What will I learn?

By learning the art of using coaching skills, you’ll help others uncover potential and achieve their goals, thereby enhancing your effectiveness in your helping or managerial role. As a result you will also deepen your understanding and build confidence in yourself.

Furthermore, this course will help you recognise any personal barriers that may be hindering your ability to achieve your own goals. The self-awareness you gain throughout the course can prove to be incredibly valuable, ultimately resulting in stronger and more meaningful connections in all areas of your life, as well as career flexibility.

Read our blog about the difference between counselling and coaching.

How does it work?

Our professional, experienced teaching coach who is also a qualified counsellor will lead the group. During the course you will learn and practice listening and coaching skills, in a safe online or in-person group setting and start to understand more about how these skills can help others, and yourself, realise potential and achieve goals. In addition to the skills, you can find out all the steps to becoming a coach in the UK and ask any questions you may have. After the event you will receive a certificate of attendance by email.
