Become an independent practitioner - and progress to SCoPEd Column B

Our CPCAB PC-L5 Diploma is designed for qualified counsellors who want to deepen their practice, expand their professional opportunities, and confidently step into independent work. This nationally recognised qualification builds on your Level 4 Diploma and equips you with the advanced skills, knowledge, and competencies required to achieve SCoPEd Column B.

(For more information on what SCoPEd means read our blog)

NEW: Free Accreditation Mentoring Session (Limited-Time Offer)

To support your professional progression, all new applicants now receive a free 1:1 accreditation mentoring session with one of our experienced tutors.

This session is designed to help you:

  • Understand the BACP accreditation process
  • Map your training and experience to SCoPEd Column B
  • Plan your portfolio and evidence
  • Identify any gaps and create a clear route to accreditation

This means that by completing this Level 5 Diploma and receiving tailored mentoring, you’ll be in a strong position to progress toward BACP accreditation and confidently evidence your Column B competencies. Most Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP's) require BACP accreditation for their counsellors.
