CPCAB Level 5
Diploma in CBT Skills and Theory
Integrate CBT into your practice
This Level 5 Diploma in CBT Skills and Theory course will lead to a nationally recognised counselling qualification.
Humanistic counsellors
The course is specifically designed to assist counsellors who currently work from a humanistic orientation, and who wish to integrate CBT skills and theory into their client work, without compromising their underpinning principles of practice. These principles include the importance of Rogers’ core conditions, which include authenticity in relationship and to respect the client’s own resources and potential for change, without having the need for an ‘expert’ or external locus of evaluation.
Course Content
In the course we will include reference to Stepped Care Psychological Therapy Services which form part of the NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service delivery model. We will also refer to the recommendations of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the accreditation requirements of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
