Humanistic
Our counselling courses are underpinned by the humanistic approach. We focus on the quality of the relationship between counsellor and client, as well as the innate resources of the client to solve their problems and achieve their potential.
Is Redlands professional?
Unfortunately there are a lot of places where you can pay for counselling training that is not officially recognised and will not be accepted as a valid qualification when looking to practice. However, Redlands is recognised by the two main professional bodies for counselling in the UK:
CPCAB - Awarding body
As a centre we are recognised by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB). We offer CPCAB courses from entry Level 2 through to post qualification Levels 5 and 6 and a Continuing Professional Development workshop programme. All of our tutors are experienced and qualified counsellors and trainers who have worked with us for many years.
BACP – Professional Body
Our Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling is recognised by the BACP. Once you complete this course, you can apply to take the BACP Certificate of Proficiency assessment, and then apply to switch your membership with them from, Student Member to Individual Member.
