A friendly and accessible Counselling Service
We are delighted to offer affordable counselling to the community through our agency setting. A team of dedicated and experienced professionals lead this service, all members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or a similar professional association. We have been running the service for over 10 years and get most of our work from referrals.
How does our Counselling service operate?
As part of their training, our final year students need to complete counselling hours with real clients. We make sure that the students are ready to practice, operating safely and maintaining confidentiality at all times. You can find out more about the training that our students experience here.
The Community Counselling Service suits those who might find it difficult to access counselling otherwise, and we are able to keep fees at an affordable rate, whilst covering unavoidable costs.
What is it like?
We provide a safe, welcoming environment in which counselling can take place, at our sites in Bournemouth and Dorchester. We can also provide online and telephone counselling. Clients can have up to 12 weekly sessions. All of our counsellors work to the Ethical Framework of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
