This is a Level 5 Certificate course leading to a tailor made CPCAB counselling qualification.

The course is specifically designed to assist counsellors who currently work from a humanistic or integrative orientation and who wish to extend their practice to working with young people by integrating skills and knowledge from a variety of sources without compromising their underpinning principles of practice. These principles include the importance of Roger’s core conditions, being authentic in relationship and respecting the client’s own resources and potential for change without the need for an ‘expert’ or external locus of evaluation.

Course outcomes will include the competencies set out in the new BACP ‘Counselling Young People (11-18) Training Curriculum’ and the new BACP Ethical Framework.
